Join the Caledonian Pine Circle by sponsoring a veteran Scots pine tree at Inverewe.
Give a gift that lasts generations. For you or a loved one, in celebration or in memory, sponsor an endemic Scots pine sapling and help us to restore Inverewe’s shelterbelt and protect a tree lineage that exists only here.
Sponsor a truly one‑of‑a‑kind Scots pine sapling and help restore Inverewe’s vital shelterbelt. These trees are not just rare — they are endemic to Inverewe alone, with DNA evidence showing they’ve grown here since before the last ice age.
When Storm Corrie struck in 2021, it claimed a 156‑year‑old original Scots pine planted by Osgood MacKenzie. We collected its pinecones, nurtured the seeds and after four years of careful propagation, these precious saplings are finally ready to return to the land they evolved with.
By sponsoring one of these limited saplings, you’ll join the exclusive Caledonian Pine Circle - a small group of supporters safeguarding a species found nowhere else. You’ll receive a personalised certificate, an invitation to visit your sapling at Inverewe, regular growth updates and digital recognition of your gift.
A suggested donation of £950 will secure your sapling and directly fund essential conservation, ensuring this irreplaceable lineage of Scots pine - and the garden it protects - thrives long into the future.
